This is a fantastic way to visit Chichén Itzá on your own terms - if you’re a DIY type traveler but you still want the security of knowing your ticket is booked in advance and there will be no waiting in line on the day, then this is the ideal way to explore with City Wonders. You’ll head straight into the site on arrival without waiting around, meaning you can really make the most of your Chichén Itzá experience and see as much as possible at this amazing location.

It’s no surprise that Chichén Itzá is one of the most popular tourist attractions ever. It is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and provides a fascinating insight into the ancient Maya culture and the people who were part of it. You can see incredible structures and monuments, created without the use of modern technology but just as impressive as anything built in recent years. Marvel and discover how they might have done it!

From the Main Ball Court - with its 12 meter (39 feet) high walls, each with rings carved and intertwining serpents in the center - to the small but impressive Temple of the Bearded Man, there is so much to see at Chichen Itza. You’re able to plan your own route and check out everything you want to see while you’re there, so make sure you have an idea in your head beforehand! La Iglesia has beautiful detailing, the Temple of the Skulls has various skulls etched into it, and El Caracol is fascinating with its stone spiral staircase inside.

Don’t miss the chance to admire the Sacred Cenote, too. Sometimes called the Well of Sacrifice, it is a beautiful sinkhole filled with water and accessible from the north of Chichén Itzá's civic precinct via a raised pathway. Objects including jewelry and weapons were found at the bottom alongside human remains, making this an absolutely fascinating place to visit. It’s super deep - to the point where it looks bottomless! - and looks like something from a fairytale, so don’t miss seeing it in all its glory.

A trip to Chichén Itzá is a must when visiting Cancun, and booking with us means you’ll get to skip the line and head straight in to make magical memories and learn all about the brilliance of the Maya people.
