A cenote is an underground water pool, with natural sunlight filtering in to give the sense of something quite magical; they were used during ancient Mayan sacrificial rituals, and as a source of water. Swimming in a cenote is like diving head first into a fairytale, and it’s an experience you’ll never forget!
