When it comes to stunning views, we’re all aware that Paris has it all. But today, we’re honing in on the most scenic places to drink in the city. Whether you’re looking for skyline views or beautiful interiors, we’ve got you covered in today’s post.
The Best Rooftop Bars in Paris
Because let’s be real here, the best of the best views are bound to be seen from a rooftop, right? Luckily, there is an abundance of rooftop bars in Paris. We’ll start off with Lounge Bar View Rooftop, located on the top floor of the Hotel Novotel Paris Vaurigard Montparnasse. Displaying incredible 180-degree views of the city, it also presents a newly refurbished design as of late. An established favorite for an evening of cocktails, you’ll witness views of some of Paris’ most famous landmarks and locations. If you go during the summer, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy thematic summer parties organized by the bar. Quite the cherry on top, no?
For a more modern evening out, opt for La Terrasse at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. Within, the Cube Bar presents a distinctive igloo shape with a geometric led lining across the angled glass ceiling. With an extended terrace outside, the first thing you’ll see is sleek white furniture and greenery littered throughout for an airy, botanical feel. Filled with wicker chairs and large parasols at every table, it’s an ideal place to spend an afternoon or evening during the summer months. Perfect for indulging in delicious tapas and a glass of wine, extraordinary views of the Parisian rooftops are also included, with the famed Eiffel Tower far in the distance. With such aesthetically pleasing appeal, could anyone turn this place down? We think not.
If you’re on the hunt for a more casual option, The Rooftop Bar at Mama Shelter could be right up your street. Decked out with fairy lights and filled with large sprawling couches, it presents the perfect cozy atmosphere of a home away from home. With a restaurant and pizzeria on-site, you can also enjoy soups, hot dogs and an array of cocktails here. Surrounded by Paris’ stunning skyline, you’ll take in the views in comfort and relaxation at this cozy bar.
The Most Striking Bars in Paris
When we talk about the view, we aren’t always talking about the city skyline. Some of the bars in Paris have interiors striking enough to be a view all of their own – and Le Bar du Plaza Athénée is our first contender. Looking like a cross between a classic 18th-century library and something from the year 3000, we can’t help but find it incredible. With rich wooden panels lining the walls, it presents muted marble floors, a transparent glass bar, and modern furnishings. And the pièce de résistance? The ceiling, with its prominent 3D ribbon-effect in a royal-blue hue. We can’t help but stare at photos, let alone being there!
For a completely different evening experience, the Summer Terrace at Bar Tuileries is the place to be. Made entirely of glass, it looks like a sunroom of a house in the Hamptons. Filled with olive trees and bougainvillea, pergolas dangle from the ceilings like chandeliers. On the terrace, you can enjoy a selection of Mediterranean food with cocktails, both hot and cold. We won’t lie, the prices are pretty steep here. But with the distinctive interiors and the beauty that surrounds you at every turn, we can guarantee that it’s worth at least one visit.
