It is a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site and this intimate tour gives you access to some of the best areas: the Hall of Mirrors, the King and Queen’s apartments, the Salon of Abundance and many more. Each room is completely different, and your tour guide will be on hand to regale you with stories from each one and point out small details that you might otherwise miss.
Versailles is said to be one of the biggest achievements of the 17th and 18th centuries in terms of art and architecture - it is a huge part of France’s history, and there is so much that happened here that you’ll be able to learn about. Explore the Gardens in the sun
Once your guide has shown you the inside of the Palace, you’ll be able to head outside and admire the spectacular Gardens of Versailles. When booking this tour, you are advised to choose a day when either the Versailles Fountain Show* or the Musical Gardens** event is running. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, when neither show is available, you will have free time to explore the Gardens at your own pace. This means you can choose the day that best suits your idea of the perfect visit to Versailles.
Whether you want to watch the fountains dance to the sound of a cello or just enjoy the beauty of the Gardens to a soundtrack of elegant classical music, you will never forget your visit to the Gardens of Versailles. After the show, take some time to walk around and admire the olive groves and incredible landscaping. It’s a soothing experience like no other!
