The Passing of Pope Francis

With deep sorrow, we join the world in mourning the passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis. His life of faith, service, and devotion has left an indelible mark on history and the hearts of millions.

During this period of mourning, Vatican City will host official ceremonies and tributes, which may lead to temporary closures or restricted access to sites such as Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square. As a result, some Vatican tours may be affected.

The Pope’s Funerals will take place on Saturday 26th April at 10am in St Peter’s Square – that day, the Vatican Museums, St Peter’s Basilicas will be closed for visits. We are currently reaching out to all customers with a booking for this day. Please click here for more details on tours impacted.

We appreciate your understanding during this solemn time and extend our heartfelt condolences to all those who are grieving. Our team is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates to affected guests as needed.
