Fall in love with the lush vegetation and incredible nature on this discovery tour of the Sian Ka’an nature reserve - a UNESCO World Heritage Site right here in Mexico, with a really unique and diverse ecosystem full of wildlife, plant life and scenic views you’ll never forget. You’ll arrive by air-conditioned vehicle and travel a further 40 minutes through breathtaking coastal jungle to reach the boat dock, where you’ll board a boat for three hours of sightseeing.
Your boat will guide you through the beautiful lagoon to Boca Paila, where the wetlands meet the sea; this vital point of convergence is a thing of wonder, and home to many species of animals. Be sure to look out for manatees, crocodiles and of course the mass amount of exotic birds fluttering through the skies above you. Bring your camera with you so you can get some snaps to remember the day by! And most importantly, sit back and take in the calm and relaxed atmosphere of Sian Ka’an.
Weather permitting, you’ll go to the Mesoamerican barrier reef where you’ll be able to snorkel (equipment provided!) in crystal clear waters full of brightly colored fish and gorgeous healthy coral. This really is an experience to remember, and one that will leave you speechless as you see what lies beneath the surface. If the weather isn’t quite right, you’ll visit an open cenote instead to swim inside a fairytale-esque pool… Truly magical!
You’ll head back to dry land and be treated to a gorgeous homemade picnic-style lunch on the beach, which is a real taste sensation. Then it’s time to lie back, relax amongst the coconut groves and enjoy the sunshine, the peace and quiet, and the breathtaking scenery afforded to you at this stunning nature reserve.
