City Wonders Tour Guide at Stonehenge

Explore with a Local

Enjoy a fully-guided trip with an expert local guide by your side, bringing the sites to life with enriching commentaries and insider knowledge.

You’ll leave London on a comfortable private coach and travel through the picturesque English countryside to Salisbury Plains, home to the world-famous Stonehenge. Along the way, and your guide will give all the important facts plus a few lesser known gems so that when you arrive, you’re all set to explore and marvel at this ancient Druid site.

From here you’ll be taken directly by shuttle to the mystical henge where you can wander slowly soaking up the mystical energy that is known around the plains. This amazing and still somewhat incomprehensible site is believed to have been built anywhere between 3000 and 2000 B.C. The prehistoric stone circle and its surroundings is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and has recently been restored back to its original landscape.

The new visitor center is just a short trip via shuttle bus from the monument, allowing visitors to ponder about the stories of how they may have been built and what they were once used for.  Your guide will explain the research and theories behind this amazing site to help you understand one of England’s greatest archaeological mysteries. Make sure to try out the interactive displays to learn about this phenomenon.

After your adventure you’ll return to London just in time for lunch, leaving plenty of time to explore the city in the afternoon.
