Your Italian culinary experience will begin at Piazza del Risorgimento. You’ll be greeted by your English-speaking host, Ambra, who will lead you to a traditional local market. At the market, you’ll delve under the skin of Roman cuisine and learn how the locals source the ingredients which make their food taste so heavenly.
Once the shopping is done, you’ll be welcomed into your host’s home. This charming house, located near the Vatican, will offer you a taste of Italian life. Enjoy a delicious welcome aperitivo with Italian nibbles and some bubbly prosecco before getting to work in the kitchen. With the aid of some eggs, flour, and a pasta machine, you’ll be taught how to make two different types of pasta: the famously filled ravioli and the delicious tagliatelle, each prepared with a different sauce.
A Different Kind of Rome Cooking Class
As you cook, your host will explain all the secrets of perfectly prepared pasta. And of course, no Italian meal is complete without a dessert. Your expert hosts will show you how to create the perfect Italian dessert but, of course, you can judge for yourself as you sit down to enjoy your culinary delights first-hand, with a glass of wine!
This tour is designed to offer you the authenticity that other cooking classes don’t, by connecting you with locals and giving you an insight into their lives. Bring a taste of Italy home with you when your Italian adventure comes to an end with the culinary expertise you’ve learned on this unique cooking experience.
